This is the iconic hand of generosity. Grandma was the most generous of women who loved giving. I would need to include grandpa, as well, since he kept track and was okay with her expenditures. We were all recipients of her well thought-out gifts and “spending” money. Calder used to say he could support a family of four just by going to the grocery store for her.
